Lucy W. Boldt

Lucy W. Boldt, nee Neufeldt, 91, of Jackson, died on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008 at the Samaritan Health Center in West Bend.

She was born on April 25, 1916 to the late Julius and Louise (nee Loe-scher) Neufeldt. Her childhood years were spent in the Mauston area where her parents farmed.

On Dec. 21, 1935, she was united in marriage to Raymond E. Boldt in Milwaukee. In Septem-ber of 1939, they moved to the Jackson area where they raised their four children.

She resided in the Jackson area for the rest of her life.

For many years, Lucy worked at Searle (formerly Badger Labs) in Jackson, which made hospital supplies, until her retirement in April, 1981.

Lucy enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, crafts and artwork. She also enjoyed going to her cabin on the Fox River in Marquette County.

She was a member of New Hope United Church of Christ in Jackson.

Survivors include four children, Gerald (Marlis) of Jackson, Robert (Beatrice) of West Bend, Patricia (Herbert) Sponholz of Jackson and John (Patricia) of West Bend; nine grandchildren, Kristine (Patrick) Riebe, Gayle (James) Meyer, Korrine (Eugene) Zimmerman, Laurie (Tom) Lotz, Gary (Lor-etta) Boldt, Kurtis (Debra) Boldt, Brenda (Jeffrey) Hermann, Eric (Pamela) Boldt and Petra Boldt; 15 great-grandchildren, Brandee, Tanya, Benjamin, Chad, Collin, Leah, Garrett, Rebekah, Brittney, Adam, Robert, Sarah, Conner, Hailey and Hannah; other relatives and friends.

Prededing her in death were her husband, Raymond, on Oct. 7, 1977; a sister, Erna Schwantes; four brothers-in-law; and a sister-in-law.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 21, at 2 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home, Jackson, with Rev. James Hill offiating.

Burial will follow in Peace United Church of Christ Cemetery, town of Jackson.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from noon until 1:45 p.m.

The family has requested memorials to New Hope United Church of Christ.
