Kenneth "Ken" J. Quillen
Kenneth "Ken" J. Quillen of Grafton, formerly of Rockford, Ill. and St. Paul, Va., born Dec. 22, 1928, passed away Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008 at the age of 79.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Feb. 23 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 701 Washington St., in Grafton. Instate on Friday, Feb. 22, at the funeral home in Grafton, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., followed by the American Legion Service at 7 p.m. Instate also on Saturday at the church, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
Interment will take place at the church cemetery.
Mueller Funeral Home in Grafton is serving the family.
Ken was a life member of Rose-Harms American Legion Post 355 and a life member of Cedarburg-Grafton V.F.W. Post 10171. He served his country in the U.S. Army from June 26, 1946 to Nov. 14, 1947 and in the U.S. Air Force from Sept. 2, 1949 to Feb. 2, 1953.
Ken was the beloved husband of Renata; the dear father of Kenneth Jr. (Denise) of Port Charlotte, Fla., Keevin (Sandy) of Stillman Valley, Ill., Thomas of Rockford, Ill., Peggy Pettinger (Scott Merfeld) of Onalaska and Terry (Tammy Ann) of Grafton; stepfather of Rory (Kelly) Kadubeck of Cedarburg, Tammy R. (Brian) Hadler of Newburg and Pat Kadubeck of Grafton; dear grandfather of Meghan, Vincent, Melissa, Amy, Neil, Kaylee and Myanna Quillen, Luke (Gina), Jacob, Karissa, Adley and Lily Kadu-beck.
He is further survived by his first great-grandchild who is due any day; his brother Paul (Mary) of St. Paul, Va.; brother-in-law Bill Simpson of Rockford, Ill.; and sister-in-law Carole Quillen of Colonial Heights, Va.; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents Louie and Lucy; brothers Louie and Bill; sisters Ruth, Eula, Francis, Shirley and Estelle; and stepson Robert Kadubeck.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton, St. Joseph Catholic Church or a memorial of your choice is appreciated.
