Carol Rose Esselmann

Carol Rose Esselmann, nee Puerling, entered into Heaven’s eternal gates Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007 in Mesa, Ariz at the dear age of 71.

Carol was born into the loving arms of Simon and Helen (nee Erschen) Puerling on July 2, 1936 in town of Trenton, where she was raised.

It was there she met and married James B. Esselmann on Aug. 16, 1958.

Together they raised five loving children on their dairy farm.

Carol enjoyed cooking, baking, reading in her spare time, playing cards and especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

In retirement she spent her winters with Jim in Arizona, always welcoming her friends and family for visits.

Carol is survived by her loving husband and best friend of almost 50 years, James B.; her loving children, Jane Esselmann of the town of Trenton; Jill (Steven) Enright of the town of Farming-ton; Jeff (Gail) Esselmann of the town of Trenton; Jerry (Renee) Esselmann of the town of Farm-ington and Joseph Esselmann of the town of Trenton.

Carol is further survived by her adoring grandchildren, Barbara (fiancè Jon) and James Landrum; Ryan, Tyler, Zachary, and Chelsea Esselmann; Jona-than and Brooke Enright.

Also surviving are her brother, Thomas (Carol) Puerling; and her sisters, Janice (Joseph) Ebli and Joyce (Lawrence) Smith.

Carol will be missed by her special friends, Marilyn Zulka and Craig Davidson.

She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Carol was preceded in death by two brothers, Roger and Jerome, and her son-in-law, Stephen Landrum.

A funeral service in honor of Carol will be held Friday, Jan. 4, at 7 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 140 N. Seventh Ave, West Bend, with Pastor David Schoob officiating.

Friends and family may visit at the church on Friday from 3 p.m. until the time of service at 7p.m.

A private burial for the family will be held on Saturday at Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.

Memorials are appreciated to the Newburg Fire Department, town of Trenton Athletic Association or Trinity Lutheran Church.
