William Willkom, 78, of Rice Lake, died on Monday, Dec. 3, 2007 at his home.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Dec. 7 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rice Lake, with Rev. James Powers officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Mr. Willkom was born Oct. 26, 1929 in Boyd to Roman and Hedwig (Seidl) Willkom. He at-tended elementary school and graduated with the final graduating class at Boyd High School. He then attended watchmaker school in Illinois.
On April 23, 1955 he married Marge Klein in Barton. They lived in Chetek before moving to Rice Lake in 1963 where they owned and operated Willkom Jewelers until retiring in 1982.
Mr. Willkom was active at St. Joseph Parish and St. Joseph School until recently, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife, Marge; a daughter, Mary (Matthew) Brad-ford of Charlotte, N.C.; three granddaughters; two brothers, Duane of Iola and Jerry of Stevens Point; and two sisters, Donna Burish of Peshtigo and Colleen Schmitz of Waukesha.
He is also survived by a brother-in-law, Matthw (Eunice) Klein of West Bend, their five children, other relatives and friends.
