Sharon A. Laabs

Sharon A. Laabs of Grafton died at the age of 66 on Thursday evening, Jan. 3, 2008 at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital in Mequon. Funeral services, officiated by the Rev. Mark Wagner, were held on Jan. 7 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Grafton. Visitation was held at the church prior to the service. Entombment took place at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield. The Eernisse Funeral Home in Port Washington assisted the family with the arrangements.

Sharon was born April 25, 1941 in Milwaukee, daughter of Lawrence and Stella Kornfehl. On June 27, 1959, she married Robert Laabs in Milwaukee. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Grafton and enjoyed traveling and watching cooking shows on television.

Sharon is survived by her husband Robert; her children Lynn Laabs of Grafton, Lisa (Jon) Pease of Grafton, Daniel Laabs of Grafton and David (Michele) Laabs of Fond du Lac; six grandchildren; her brothers Richard (Marcy) Kornfehl of Lomira and Glen Skibinski of Milwaukee; and two sisters Susan (Jim) Knutson and Lois (John) Zdroik, both of Muskego.

Meredith was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Robert and Gordon.
