Annabelle C. Kurtz
Annabelle C. Kurtz, nee Guetzke, 82 years of Hubertus, passed away Thursday, Jan.3, 2008 at the Samaritan Health Center in West Bend.
David M. Kurtz, 80, of Hubertus passed away Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008 at Community Memorial Hospital in Menomo-nee Falls.
Annabelle was born on Aug. 26, 1925 to Edwin and Hildegard (nee Schwamb) Guetzke in the town of Richfield.
She attended Menomonee Falls High School and later Cedarburg High School, graduating in 1944.
David was born on July 22, 1927 to Carl and Eleanor (nee Heirlinger) Kurtz and raised in Hubertus on the family farm.
David and Annabelle were married on July 29, 1950 at St. Jacobi Congregational Church, Richfield.
After marriage, the couple lived in Cedarburg, later moving to Hubertus in 1967.
David served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the South Pacific.
He later worked for Marquardt Bus Service as a mechanic for 27 years and then Konrath Bus for more than seven years, retiring in 2001.
David was a member of VFW Post 9202 in Germantown and the Daniel Boone Conservation Club and Richfield Historical Society.
Annabelle was employed as a factory worker for Doerr Electric of Cedarburg for over 10 years.
She was a lifelong member of St. Jacobi Congregational Church from baptism until her death and was a member of the Brookfield Legion Band.
Annabelle is survived by a brother-in-law on Davidís side, William (Leona) Kurtz of Watertown; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister.

Combined funeral services for Annabelle and David will be held on Friday, Jan. 11, at 7 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel in West Bend, with Rev. Hillary Bowser officiating.
Interment for both will take place Saturday at 10 a.m. in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend, with military honors for David.
Combined visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 7 pm.
