Almeda M. Weeks

Almeda M. Weeks, nee Bryant, 68, of Jackson died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008 at her residence.

She was born April 17, 1939 in Waupun to the late Lyle and Helen (nee Radland) Bryant and married Bruce D. Weeks on Oct. 8, 1960 in Milwaukee.

Almeda was a loving server of people and enjoyed spending time with close friends and family.

She enjoyed quilting, crafting and was an avid fisherwoman who loved the outdoors.

She worked for many years as a nursing home aide.

Most recently she worked for Pick ‘n Save foods in West Bend. She enjoyed her work and had a unique talent of making friends wherever she spent time.

Almeda will be remembered by her family and friends for her loving spirit, the twinkle in her eyes and those warm hugs.

She will be dearly missed by all.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Bruce; three children, Tim (Jane) of Wisconsin Dells, Larry (Maria) of Fond du Lac and Don of West Bend; a grandson, Lyle and three step-grandchildren, Molly (Jeremy) Chamber-lain, Anna (Chris) Jones and Jeffrey Bartlett.

She is further survived by her step-great-granddaughter, Olivia Jones; three siblings, Janie (Jack) Shubert of Kearney, Neb., John (Sue) Bryant of Hartford and Barbara Bryant of Menomonee Falls; her stepmother-in-law, Irene Weeks of Florida; two brothers-in-law, Dean (Sharon) Weeks of Hancock and Paul (Heidi) Weeks of New Berlin; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Almeda was preceded in death by a son, Mike, and her brother, Ralph (Diane) Bryant.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 18, at 6 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home in West Bend with Rev. Richard Stoffel officiating.

Inurnment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Little Kohler.

Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 4 until 5:45 p.m.
