Florence M. Lobotzke, 86

Florence M. Lobotzke, nee Luedke, of Slinger, formerly of West Bend, died on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2008 at her residence at the age of 86. She was born on Aug. 14, 1921 in Milwaukee to the late William and Adeline (nee Loose) Luedke.

On Oct. 17, 1942, she was united in marriage to Arthur F. Lobotzke in St. Charles, Mo. Following Art's discharge from the United States Army, they moved to Milwaukee until settling in West Bend in 1955. Since 2005, Florence has lived in Slinger.

Art preceded her in death June 18, 2006.

For 20 years, she was employed at the former Wisconsin Bell Company as a customer service representative.

She was an active member of the Fred A. Schaefer Post #1393 VFW Ladies Auxillary, the Lt. Ray Dickop Post #36 American Legion Ladies Auxillary, and the Women Of The Moose West Bend Chapter #732.

Survivors include three children, Dawn of West Bend, Arthur (Chris) of Clyman and Jan (Roger) Hanefeld of Burnette; three grandchildren, Jessica, Kayla (John Crawford) and Kegan (Amanda Cope); four great-grandchildren, Justin, Tara, Ethan and Baby Emma on the way; one sister-in-law, Lori Lentz of Brookfield; one brother-in-law, Jerome (Beverly) Lobotzke of Milwaukee; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one son, Robert, two brothers and one sister.

The VFW Ladies Auxillary from Post 1393 will conduct their farwell services at 6:45 p.m. Monday at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, with funeral services following at 7 p.m. Entombment will be at Washington County Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 4 until 6:45 p.m.

The family has requested memorials to the Fred A. Schaefer #1393 VFW Ladies Auxillary or the Lt Ray Dickop Post #36 American Legion Ladies Auxillary.
