Marie E. Muth
Marie E. Muth, nee Beck, 90, of West Bend died on Wednesday, Jan. 23, at the Samaritan Health Center in West Bend.
She was born Oct. 29, 1917 in West Bend to the late George and Gertrude (nee Beck) Beck and married Egbert Muth on June 18, 1941 in West Bend.
Egbert preceded her in death on Aug. 17, 1981.
Marie was a charter member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in West Bend where she was active in the Christian Mothers and a co-founder of the Young at Heart Club.
She was also a member of the Washington County Homemakers.
Marie was also active in community affairs and supported youth activities.
She is survived by her four children, Mary (Lee) Krueger of West Bend, Charlotte (Jay) Cable of Wasilla, Alaska, Carl (Gretchen) and George (Kathy), both of West Bend; 16 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She is further survived by her two sisters, Trudy (Eldor) Kannenberg of West Bend and Rita (Larry) Harrison of Merida, Mexico; a sister-in-law, Carla (Marvin Dale) Cox of Sun City, Ariz.; a special niece, Charlotte Schlopp of Woodstock, Ill; and other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Rose Sheehan; and two brothers, John and James Beck.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, Jan. 28, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in West Bend, with Rev. Jeffrey Haines presiding.
Burial will follow in Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday at the church only from 10 until 11:15 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the charity of the donorís choice are appreciated.
