Jeremy Achatz of Hartford went home to his heavenly father on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2008. He was 20 years old.
He was born on Nov. 7, 1987 in West Bend to Kevin and Susan (nee Olson) Achatz.
Jeremy graduated with honors from Hartford Union High School in 2006, and attended UW-WC where he received high honors and helped tutor other students. He loved to play computer games with his friends, and enjoyed listening to music especially on his MP3 player. Jeremy was a very special young man and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his parents, Kevin and Susan Achatz of Hartford; his brother, Justin of Hartford; his grandparents, Tom and Dorothy Olson of Marinette and Neil and Judith Achatz of Slinger; and his aunts and uncles, Mike (Sandy) Albinger of She-boygan, Dave (Cathy) Cuppan of Fredonia, Norman Achatz of Kentucky, and Keith (Lynn) Achatz of Waukesha. Jeremy is further survived by cousins, other relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 29 at St. Kilian Catholic Church, Hartford. The family will greet relatives and friends on Monday, Jan. 28 at the Shimon Funeral Home from 4-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will also be held Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers memorials to the Hartford Food Pantry or the University of Wisconsin Washington County Tutoring Program are greatly appreciated.
