Linda L. Myers

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Linda L. Myers of Cedarburg at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, at St. Francis North Church, 1375 N. Covered Bridge Road, in Cedarburg. Linda died on Monday, July 7, 2008 at home, in the presence of her family, at the age of 65. Family will receive friends on Saturday at church, from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. A private burial service will take place at St. Clements Cemetery in Lancaster. Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg is serving the family.

Linda was born in Waterloo, Iowa on Jan. 7, 1943, the daughter of Hortense (nee Butler) Bowman and Miles Bowman. She married James Myers on June 18, 1966 in Milwaukee. Linda attended UW-LaCrosse, and was a Volunteer Coordinator for Cope Services from 1986-93. She was an active member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Cedarburg and sang in the choir. She enjoyed weaving, knitting, her sons, her daughters-in-law and her grandchildren.

Linda is survived by her husband, Jim; her sons, Andrew (Jane) and Joseph (Melissa); her grandchildren, Zachary, Alex, John, Elizabeth and Joseph James; and her brother Ben.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Richard.

The family gives special thanks to the nurses and staff of Vitas Hospice, and Linda’s many friends who gave support during her illness.
