Edward H. Zautcke

Edward H. Zautcke joined his mother, Malinda Brutschneider, and his father, Milton Zautcke, in the presence of our Lord on Saturday, July 26, 2008.

Ed was born in Milwaukee on Dec. 27, 1934 and also attended grade school in Milwaukee.

Edward moved to West Bend in 1945 and graduated from West Bend High School in 1954 where he participated in track, football and basketball.

He was employed at Serigraph Sales and drafted into the United States Army and was stationed in Germany until his honorable discharge, and returned to West Bend.

On Oct. 12, 1963, he married Roseann Dengel at St. Frances Cabrini Church. He was the proud father of Bartly and Bradley Zautcke and grandfather of Celeste and Kira Zautcke.

He was employed by Vrana Body Shop, Stocker Ford, Feller Pontiac and Uptown Motor until he started his own body shop, Main Street Auto Body Shop.

He is survived by his wife, Roseann, and sons, Bartly and Bradly, and granddaughters, Celeste and Kira.

He is further survived by sisters Ethel (Walter) Carter, Doris (Robert) Tock, and June (the late Ivin) Thompson and brother Allen (Lucille) Zautcke.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 29 at 7 p.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Church with Father Sean Granger presiding.

Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday in Holy Angels Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the church only on Tuesday from 4 until 6:45 p.m.

The family has requested memorials to St. Frances Cabrini Parish or the American Heart Association.
