Gerald A. "Jumble" Hembel

Gerald A. "Jumble" Hembel of West Bend entered into eternal peace on Sunday, July 27, 2008 at his residence at 67.

He was born into the loving arms of the late Erman and Marie (nee Hahn) Hembel on Oct. 11, 1940 on the family farm in the town of Polk. Jerry attended grade school at Maple Lawn and graduated from West Bend High School in 1958. He took over the family farm in 1974 after working with his father on the dairy farm for many years.

In 1960, Jerry found the love of his life, Judy Schaefer, spending 48 cherished years together. Jerry attended St. Peterís Catholic Church in Slinger, belonging to the Catholic Order of Foresters and volunteered as an usher. Having recently retired from dairy farming, he spent his time planting crops and working his land.

Jerry is survived by his loving companion, Judy Schaefer; his brother, Marvin (Betty) Hembel; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008 at 11 a.m. at St. Peterís Catholic Church with Father Richard Stoffel officiating. Friends and family may visit from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008, at church only. A Christian Burial will take place following the service at Cedar Creek Cemetery in the Town of Polk.
