Marilyn J. Grasso

Marilyn J. Grasso, 76, of Eau Claire died peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 3, 2008, surrounded by her loving family, after her courageous, year-long battle against cancer.

She was born Aug. 7, 1931 in Superior, to the late Herbert and Gladys (nee Dahl) Wahlberg, and graduated from Lincoln High School, Milwaukee.

Marilyn married Frank M. Grasso on Aug. 1, 1953. While raising their children, she was an active parent volunteer at St. Nicholas Catholic School, Milwaukee, and an avid homemaker.

After moving to West Bend in 1970, Marilyn started her career as a librarianís assistant at West Bend East High School.

Marilynís family was important to her.

She enjoyed flowers, reading, traveling, attending plays and piano music.

Marilyn was a member of St. James Episcopal Church in West Bend.

She is survived by her loving husband, Frank; and will be greatly missed by her children, John (Glenda Boyd) Grasso, Mary Ellen (Steve) Klein and Brian (Kelly) Grasso.

She was the proud grandma of Katie (Michael) Nelson, Melissa (Tommy Roach) Grasso, Matthew Grasso, Brooks Klein and Connor Klein; and great-grandma to Ranae, Isiah and Noah.

She is further survived by caring aunts, an uncle, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, at St. James Episcopal Church in West Bend.

Father Kevin Carrol will officiate, and interment will follow in Highland Memorial Park Ceme-tery in New Berlin.

Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home, West Bend.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be divided between Kathy Hospice of West Bend and Angel Space Hospice of Eau Claire.
