Evelyn S. "Evvie" Rehberg

Evelyn S. "Evvie" Rehberg, nee Dietzel, 92 years young, of St. Lawrence went home to join her heavenly family on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at Aurora Medical Center, Hartford.

She was born on Jan. 9, 1916 in Union City, Tenn. to the late Benjamin and Clinton (nee Harrison) Dietzel.

Evvie moved to Wisconsin in the mid-1940s after meeting her "Damn Yankee" husband, William "Bill" Rehberg.

They settled in St. Lawrence where they raised their family.

She was the founder of Reh-berg’s Country Upholstery which was in operation for over 15 years.

Evvie enjoyed feeding and watching birds, and growing the most beautiful African violets.

She was an avid Packer fan and also loved to watch WWE wrestling, her favorite wrestlers being Hulk Hogan and Eddie Guerrero.

Above all, Evvie enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, friends and neighbors.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Kathy (Robb) Schulz of Jackson; two cherished grandchildren, Kelina and Billy Schulz; her special nieces, Sherri (Bill) Kiekhofer and Frances (Gary) Swords; and a brother-in-law, Joe Iding.

She is further survived by great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives, friends, and special neighbors, Harold (Gertie) Krebs and Danielle (companion, Don) Kocan and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; a daughter, Suzanne "Penny;" sisters, Jean and Sis; and brothers, Charles and Ben Lewis.

The funeral service will be held Monday, June 9, at 7 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home, 1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend, with Rev. George Enderly officiating.

Visitation will be held on Monday at the funeral home from 4 until 7 p.m.

Interment will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Union Cemetery of Slinger.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the family at this time.
