Heinz Hilbert passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, June 5, 2008 at the age of 104 and 8 months.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on June 12 at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Chapel of the Chimes, main building, 13235 W. Capitol Drive, in Brookfield. Visitation will be held at the chapel on Thursday, from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
The Schramka-Densow Funeral Home in Thiensville, 242-3120, is serving the family.
Heinz was born in Elmshorn, Germany on Oct. 1, 1903. He sailed from Hamburg, Germany on July 14, 1923 at the age of 19. He became a citizen of the U.S. on May 16, 1929. Heinz was the proud owner of Hilbert Furniture Co. since 1928, and operated Hilbertís for 49 years. He was also a proud and longtime member of Schlaraffia (German club).
Heinz was the beloved husband of Frances "Virginia" (nee Kosina); the loving uncle of Bob (Carol) Imbs, Joyce Hathaway and Karen Miller; and the special friend of Alice Seifert. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Heinz was preceded in death by his first wife Ethel; and his sisters Frieda and Else.
