William S. Foley of Eagle River died Tuesday, June 10 at 61 at St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield.

He was born on April 22, 1947 in Milwaukee and was married to Nila Martinson.

William was a resident of Eagle River for the past 20 years. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. William served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam as a medic, and served in the Iron River National Guard for 13 years in the Engineering Corp. He was a member of the Wisconsin American Veterans.

William was preceded in death by his mother, June Brunetta, and his brother, Robert Danielson.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Nila of Eagle River; a daughter, Rebecca (Tony) Woller of Wausau; a brother, Joseph (Sandra) Danielson of Green Bay; and a sister, Beth (Eddie) Carter of Eagle River.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2008 at Gaffney-Busha Funeral Home in Eagle River. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Eagle River Cemetery.
