Daniel J. Wagner, 86

Daniel J. Wagner, 86, of Nenno was called to eternal life on Friday, June 20, 2008 at the Aurora Health Center Washington County in Hartford.

He was born December 5, 1921 in the town of West Bend to the late John and Rosa (nee Redig) Wagner and married Rosemary Falter on Oct. 12, 1946 at Holy Trinity Church in Newburg. He enjoyed 61 wonderful years with Rosemary until she preceded him in death on December 22, 2007.

Following their marriage they settled on the Wagner Family Farm near Big Cedar Lake and farmed there until they moved to Nenno in 1955. He enjoyed fixing things for other people in his garage and helping his children with projects at their homes or on their farms.

Dan worked at Farmers Incorporated in Allenton for over 35 years and was a faithful caregiver for his wife for over 30 years.

Survivors include his seven children: Daniel "Junior" (Mary Ann) of Campbellsport, Rosalyn (Remie) Plourde of Ellsworth, David (Kathleen) of Kewaskum, Dennis (Jacquelyn) of West Bend, Dale (Mary) of Krakow, Geralyn (Larry) Unger of West Bend and Marilyn (Sylvester) Stys of West Bend, 20 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren: Betsy Wagner, Andy (Nicole) Wagner and their daughter Sarah, Katie Wagner, Deanna (Jeff) Schwake and their children Vanessa and Jillian, Julie (Dave) Steger and their children Jonathan and Dillon, Nicholas (Krystina) Wagner, Joyce Wagner (Brady Bailo), Randy (Kay) Wagner and their children Michael, Austin and Jordan, Kevin (Jennifer) Wagner and their children Jonah and Elsa, Krista (Robert) Howard and their children Noah and Marlea, Jill (Daniel) Handrich and their child Nevaeha, Ann (Jason) Schaak, Karalyn Wagner, Michael Wagner, Phillip Wagner and his daughter Alannah, Richard (fiancˇ Amanda) Wagner, Steven Wagner, William Unger, Patrick Schoenhaar and Lynn Schoenhaar (Chris Rozenberger). He is further survived by his sister Pearl (F. William) Mueller of West Bend, a brother-in-law Frank (Althea) Falter of West Bend, 3 sisters-in-law: Elizabeth Minz of Milwaukee, Doris Falter of West Bend and Nancy Falter of Apex, NC and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Daniel was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law Judy Wagner, a sister-in-law Barbara (Herman) Winnemueller, 2 brothers-in-law John and George Falter and a sister-in-law Mary Ann Falter.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, June 23, 2008 at 7 p.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Lawrence with Fr. Joseph Dominic presiding. Burial will be Tuesday in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, at the church only from 4:00 p.m. until 6:45 p.m.
