Jean G. Hodge

Jean G. Hodge (nee Lutey) was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 26, 2008 at Cedar Bay West at the Cedar Community, West Bend.

She was born on Sept. 27, 1911 in Ishpeming, Mich. to Albert and Mary (nee Trebilcock) Lutey.

On Sept. 5, 1932, she married Thomas B. Hodge in Negaunee, Mich. and he passed away on July 13, 1998.

Together they were involved in ministry for a total of 50 years, pastoring churches in Ishpeming, Mich., West Bend, Mather and Hartford.

Jean is survived by three children, Shirley (Douglas) Bloom of West Bend, James (Jean) Hodge of West Bend and Thomas Hodge of Liberty, Texas; seven grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her beloved husband of 65 years, the Rev. Thomas B. Hodge; her parents, Albert and Mary Lutey; four brothers and five sisters.

A celebration of Jeanís life will take place on Monday, June 30 at 2 p.m. at Calvary Assembly of God Church, 1110 E. Decorah Road, West Bend. The Rev. John Garcia and the Rev. Paul Pfeffer will be officiating.

Burial will be beside her beloved husband, Thomas, at Negaunee Cemetery in Negau-nee, Mich. on Tuesday, July 1 at 10 a.m. Visitation will be Monday, June 30 from 10 a.m. until time of services at the church.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Cedar Bay West and its compassionate and caring staff for their exceptional care and kindness that they gave to Jean.
