Hedwig "Hedy" Alma Krueger

Hedwig "Hedy" Alma Krueger (nee Linder), 94, died Friday, Feb. 29, 2008 at Kathy Hospice in West Bend. Hedy was born into the loving arms of Robert and Anna (nee Abley) on July 5, 1913 in Humbird, Wis. where she was raised.

During the early 1940s she moved into West Bend where she had a career working at the West Bend Company for many years on the assembly line and was a faithful member of the United Church of Christ. Of all of the things that Hedy loved to do, she most loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Hedy is survived by her loving daughter, Corinne (Ross) Smith Mohler of Louisiana; seven adoring grandchildren, Scott Hughes of Phelps, Margie (Tom) Braun of Waupaca, Connie (Jim) Gaedtke of West Bend, Penny (Tim) McGrath of Whitefish Bay, Tracy (fiancˇ George Piontek) Peplinski of Richfield, Jennifer Armand of Louisiana and Michael (Paula) Mohler of Louisiana. Hedy will also be missed by 19 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren and her sister Alvina Linder of Alma Center. Hedy will be further missed by nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings Ed, Lucille VanGorden, Clarence, Bob, John, Frieda, Elsie, Royce and Art; as well as her daughter Gloria Hughes and great-grandchild Caleb Hughes.

A service in honor of Hedy will take place on Sunday, March 2, 2008 at 3 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home (1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend, WI 53095) with Pastor Oscar Kraft officiating. Friends and family may visit from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 2, 2008. A private burial will follow at a later date. Cremation will be done by Paradise Cremation Services.
