Hedwig Alma "Hedy" Krueger

Hedwig Alma "Hedy" Krueger, nee Linder, 94, entered into heavenís gates on Friday, Feb. 29, 2008 at Kathy Hospice in West Bend.

She was born into the loving arms of Robert and Anna (nee Abley) on July 5, 1913 in Humbird.

Hedy was raised in Humbird, and during the early 1940s she moved into West Bend.

Here she had a career working at the West Bend Co. for many years on the assembly line, and was a faithful member of the United Church of Christ.

Of all of the things that Hedy loved to do, she most loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Hedy is survived by her loving daughter, Corinne (Ross) Smith Mohler of Louisiana; seven adoring grandchildren, Scott Hughes of Phelps, Margie (Tom) Braun of Waupaca, Connie (Jim) Gaedtke of West Bend, Penny (Tim) McGrath of Whitefish Bay, Tracy (fiance George Piontek) Peplinski of Richfield, Jennifer Armand of Louisiana and Michael (Paula) Mohler of Louisiana.

Hedy will also be missed by 19 great-grandchildren; three great- great-grandchildren; a sister, Alvina Linder of Alma Center; and a son-in-law. Archie Hughes of Waupaca.

Hedy will be further missed by nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Ed Linder, Lucille VanGorden, Clarence, Bob, John, Frieda, Elsie, Royce and Art; as well as her daughter, Gloria Hughes; and great-grandchild, Caleb Hughes.

A service in honor of Hedy was held Sunday, March 2, at 3 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home, 1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend, with Pastor Oscar Kraft officiating.

A private burial will follow at a later date.

Cremation took place at Paradise Cremation Services.
