Lorraine Edna Mann
Lorraine Edna Mann of the town of Cedarburg entered into eternal life surrounded by her loving family on Friday, Feb. 29, 2008 at the age of 89.
Funeral services for Lorraine were held on March 3 at the Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg. Interment will take place today, March 4, at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Hartford.
Lorraine was born May 22, 1918 in the town of Erin. She was the loving daughter of the late Fredrick and Ella Mittlestadt; the dear sister of the late Maynard Mittlestadt; and the beloved wife of the late Clarence Mann.
Lorraine was always a very hard working and busy lady who loved to bake. Many times she would stay up all night baking, only to give it all away to her family and friends the very next day. This is just one of the many ways she showed her giving spirit.
A great source of joy for Lorraine were the times she spent with her family at the Country Keg.
One of her favorite things about this was going there on Sundays to listen to the polka bands. This was a very important part of her life which brought her much happiness.
When at home, she would listen to her polkas on her favorite radio station, WTKM. Her favorite song was "Footsteps." During some of her most difficult times, just hearing this song would brighten her day.
The very most important part of Lorraine’s life was always her family. She always put their needs ahead of her own.
Her caring, compassionate, understanding and giving ways showed her family how much she loved and cherished them.
When she entered a room, you couldn’t help but notice her bright shining eyes and her loving smile.
Lorraine will be deeply missed by those whose lives and hearts she touched so graciously. They will have the comfort in knowing she is their special guardian angel, and that they will see her again someday in heaven.
Lorraine was the loving mother of the late Wayne (the late Arlene) Mann, Jerry Mann, Betty Mann, Bonnie Mann, Glenn (Judy) Mann, Tom (Claudette) Mann, Carol (the late Gene C.) Reis, Don (Sharon) Mann, the late Mary Mann, Tim (Carol Lindsay) Mann, Lorraine (Bill) Malone, Judy (the late Greg) Lieven, Jeff Mann and Debbie (Brian) Erdmann.
Lorraine is further survived by her grandchildren Nancy, Dan, Tanya, David, Dee Dee, Mary A., Mary E., Tyler, Regina, Denise, Tara, Bill, Jason, Carrie, Kelly, Kristy, Ryan, Tracy, Matt, Michelle, Shaun and Lisa "Sweetie Pie;" her great-grandchildren Jalen, Melissa, Elanea, Jenna, Clayton, Tyler, Madelaine, Amanda, Austin, Ethan, Seth, Andrew, Chandler, Elijah, Karina, Hannah, Shayla, Meagan, Miranda, Caleb, Ashley and Ethan S.; her great-great-grandchild Lily; other relatives and many friends.
