Jerome F. "Dunner" Wenninger

Jerome F. "Dunner" Wenninger, 58, passed away on Sun-day, March 9, 2008, at his residence after finally losing his battle with cancer.

He was born on Jan. 12, 1950 to Jerome and the late Joyce (nee Holz) Wenninger.

Dunner was born and raised in the town of Polk. After high school graduation, he worked for the family business, Ackerville Garage, taking it over in 1980. He was a man that was not afraid of work.

He had a great passion for his 1970 Shelby and enjoyed hunting. Dunner was a lifetime member of the Wisconsin Towing Associa-tion and recently celebrated 40 years of continuous service.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Mary "Kathy" (nee Sawaski); his children, Jim "Turk" (Lisa) Wenninger of Virginia, Jeremy "Jeep" (special friend Carrie) Wenninger of Slinger and Jerry "Scooter" (special friend Theresa) Wenninger of Slinger; three grandchildren, Ashley (Corey) Matus, Jimmy and Jason Wenninger; siblings, Tony (Linda) Wenninger, Dan (Debbie) Wenninger, Laurie (Bob) Legate and Lynn Witzack.

He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Arnie.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 13, at 7 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 1420 W. Paradise Drive., West Bend, with Father Jerry Repenshek officiating.

Visitation at the funeral home will be held Thursday from 3 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m.

Interment will be in St. Peterís Cemetery (new) in Slinger.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the family at this time.
