Harvey Otto Arthur Gauger
Harvey Otto Arthur Gauger, 90, of Plymouth, died on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at his home.
He was born on Sept. 18, 1917 in Milwaukee, son of the late Arthur and Alvina (Steffan) Gauger, and on Dec. 7, 1940 he married Frieda Hartzke in Milwaukee.
The couple made their home in Milwaukee and later moved to West Bend in 1965.
After Frieda passed away in 1993, Harvey moved in with his daughter and son-in-law and moved along with them to Plymouth in 1995. He made many friends along the way.
He worked for and retired from Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac.
In his free time Harvey became a very accomplished carpenter. He enjoyed his workshop and making many beautiful birdhouses.
He is survived by three children, Lois (Roy) Schicker of Plymouth, James (Linda) Gauger of Pewaukee and Ronald (Susan) Gauger of West Bend; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; good friends, Alice Oelhafen and her family, and Arthur Faber.
Funeral Services will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, March 14, at the Wittkopp-Schneider Fun-eral Home in Plymouth, with the Rev. James Wilson, pastor of Re-deemer Lutheran Church, officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4:30 p.m. until the time of service.
Following the services, Har-vey’s wishes were to be cremated and to have his remains buried in the Graceland Cemetery in Mil-waukee.
