Born on Sept. 13, 1947, Michael lived most of his life working in and around West Bend.

He graduated from West Bend High School in 1965 and then went directly into the workforce. He obtained his first job at Gehl Co. where he worked for many years.

Also, he was an avid salesman and won many awards for his salesmanship when he worked for Culligan.

He then continued his passion for sales work at B&H Lumber, where he worked for five years. His most recent employment was at Menards in West Bend.

Michael was also an enthusiastic sports fan, either by watching or participating in games.

He was a fan of softball, and when he was younger he was often a member of locally sponsored teams playing the position of first base.

He also particularly enjoyed the Wisconsin sports teams. Any time of the year he would enjoy a game of the Packers, Badgers or Brewers with friends and family.

Later in his life he continued his love of salesmanship by participating in flea markets and auctions, where he could be seen selling his merchandise during the summers.

He was married twice, to Lonna Unger in 1973 and to Sue Traister in 1995.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Lois (nee Younker) Gundrum, and his brother. James.

He is survived by his four children, Lisa Belman of Waukesha, Michelle Gundrum of Cincinnati, Timothy of Hartland and Nicholas of Chicago; and his grandson, Jared of Waukesha.

He is further survived by his siblings, Mark (Mary) of Wisconsin Dells, Joseph (Jolene) of West Bend, Lee (Donna) of West Bend, Barbara (James) Andrew of Random Lake and Ann (Randy) Habram of West Bend; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.
