Loren R. Craker
Loren R. Craker, 63, was taken to eternal life on Thursday, March 6, 2008.
He was born Nov. 3, 1944 in Reedsburg, son of the late Roger and Marcella (Davis) Craker.
Loren was the beloved husband of Doreen, whom he married on Aug. 25, 1979 in West Bend; the proud father of Jessica, Jonathan and Emily; lovingly remembered as a father by Mary Cavanaugh and Joseph Rvera, along with their children, Brianne, Austin, Chase, Jordan and Brandon.
He will be missed by his brother, Lyle; sister-in-law, Betty; and several nieces and their families.
His loss will also be grieved by several other relatives and friends.
Loren was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with degrees in civil engineering and construction administration.
He served his country in the Vietnam War as an Army 1st Lieutenant in the Engineering Corps.
Loren was formerly a designer for Pro-Built Custom Homes in West Bend.
He most recently worked as a civil engineer, and had been a highway commissioner for Wau-paca County.
Loren was an active member of of VFW Post 9748, Iola Lions Club and American Legion Post 14.
He will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his genuine concern for others, his vibrant spirit and outlook on life.
He especially enjoyed motorcycle trips with his family and spending time outdoors.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 10, at 11 a.m. at the Scandinavia Lutheran Church with Rev. Mark Sabin officiating.
Burial will be at a later date in Wisconsin Memorial Veterans Cemetery in King.
The Voie Funeral Home, Iola, assisted the family.
