James Charles Haebig
James Charles Haebig, 74, of Jakarta, Indonesia, formerly of West Bend and Campbellsport, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008.
He was born March 30, 1933 in West Bend to the late Raymond P. and Marion (nee Gaffney) Haebig, and married Anne Kell of England on April 28, 1966 in Tripoli, Libya, North Africa.
Jim worked as a geologist and geophysicist in many countries where he and Anne lived and raised their children.
He is survived by his wife, Anne of Colorado Springs, Colo; four children, Joanne (Brad) Jonas of Colorado Springs, Lt. Col. David (Andrea) Haebig of Fayetteville, N.C., Andrew (Becky) Haebig of Campbellsport and Jessica Haebig of Colorado Springs; four granddaughters, Leah Haebig, Hanah and Caroline Haebig and Jessica Jonas; a sister, Janet Guldan of West Bend; a brother, John Haebig of Fredericksburg, Texas; an aunt, Grace Haebig of West Bend; nieces; nephews; cousins; and other relatives and friends.
Also surviving are an aunt-in-law, Nora; three brothers-in-law and their wives; three sisters-in-law and their husbands; nieces; nephews; cousins; and other relatives and friends in England.
Jim was cremated and his ashes scattered into a river that flows into the ocean which will touch all the shores of the countries in which he lived.
