Adeline M. Burkhardt
Adeline M. Burkhardt, nee Eber, 102, of Cedarburg passed away peacefully in her sleep on Good Friday, March 21, 2008, joining her husband, Elmer P. Burkhardt to whom she was married for 62 years.
Adeline was born in Milwaukee on Feb. 10, 1906, to the late Otto and Mollie (nee Dickelman) Ebert.
She graduated from high school and completed Badger State Business before becoming a proud employee of the Milwaukee Journal and later at the Gimbels/Schusterís stores.
She enjoyed many trips with her friends at the Cedarburg Senior Center and spending time at the Cedarburg Library.
She also enjoyed knitting items for the Senior Center Craft Fair and Coats for Kids Project.
Adeline also hand crafted many of her own clothes and provided her family with warm sweaters, scarves, mittens, baby clothes and beautiful afghans.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy L. (Robert) Kohls of Newburg; grandchildren, Karen (Dan Erdmann) Kohls of Middle-ton, Kathryn (Stephen) Hansen of Cascade Locks, Ore. and Kenneth (Amy) Kohls of West Bend.
She is further survived by eight great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
A private family memorial and burial were Adelineís wishes.
