Lucille M. Pischke

Lucille M. Pischke, nee Vujnovich, 88, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at the Samaritan Health Center, West Bend.

Lou was born on July 29, 1919 in Mayville, to Joe and Clara Vujnovich (nee O’kon), and grew up in Mayville, graduating from high school in 1938.

After graduation the family moved to Berlin.

Lou married James Pischke Sr., on July 5, 1941. They moved to West Bend in 1950 and later divorced.

Lou worked at Merhing’s Fish Market and later at Haebig’s Dry Cleaners, retiring in 1981.

She was involved in Cub Scouting as a den mother for many years at St. Mary’s School with her children.

She loved camping, fishing, gardening, knitting, cooking and bowling.

Lou is survived by three sons, Robert Pischke, Patrick (Elaine) Pischke and Charles Pischke; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two sisters; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jim; her parents; and three brothers.

A private Memorial Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, March 28, at Holy Angles Catholic Church, West Bend, with Father Rick Wendell officiating.

Interment took place in Holy Angles Cemetery.

Memorials can be made to Holy Angles Church.

The Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend assisted the family.
