Michael S. Schultz

Michael S. Schultz, 45, of West Bend, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at the Ruth Hospice in Milwaukee.

He was born into the loving arms of Donald and Karen (nee Glander) Schultz Sr. on Feb., 27, 1963 in Port Washington.

Michael graduated from West Bend West High School in 1981.

He met and married the love of his life, Debra nee Puerling, on May 15, 1993 at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in West Bend, together raising a loving daughter.

Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing and his passion of building homes.

Michael is survived by his wife of almost 15 years, Debbie; an adoring daughter, Carly, age 9; and his loving father, Donald H. Schultz Sr.

He will also be missed by his four siblings, Cindy (Jim) Boylen, Debbie (Russ) Lemke, Don (Ginger) Schultz Jr. and Chris (Al) Tackes.

Michael is also survived by his parents-in-laws, Bob and Barb Puerling; his step-grandfather, Elmer Barko;, nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Karen; a brother-in-law, Jeff Puerling; and his nephew, J.J. Boylen.

A funeral service in memory of Michael will be held on Monday, May 12, at 7 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home, 1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend, with Rev. Richard Vincent officiating.

Friends and family may visit at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m.

Cremation will take place at Paradise Cremation Services.

Burial of cremains will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the family.
