Harrison J. "Harry" Jossi

Harrison J. "Harry" Jossi, 95, passed into the arms of the Lord on Jan. 18, 2008 in El Paso, Texas with Hope Hospice in attendance, after suffering from pulmonary fibrosis for the last two years of his life.

Besides being a great husband and father with a fantastic sense of humor, Harry sang in church choirs all of his life and frequently performed duets with his beloved wife, Carol.

He also worked for many years at the Hobart Co. in Milwaukee and Oshkosh before retiring to Wauwatosa.

His later years were spent at Cedar Ridge in West Bend, before moving to his daughter’s home in El Paso in 2005.

He will be sorely missed.

He is survived by three children, Kathy Hamblen of El Paso, Ellen (Terry) Prekop of Cape Coral, Fla. and David (Linda) Jossi of Wauwatosa; three grandchildren, Carrie (Char) Hamblen of Las Cruces, N.M., Stephanie (Ed) McCarthy of Milwaukee and Rick Jossi of Milwaukee; a grand daughter-in-law, Lisa (Gene) Brown of El Paso; three great- grandchildren, Jessica(Corey) Strader of El Paso and Ryan and Taylor McCarthy of Milwaukee; a great-great-grandson, Timmy Strader of El Paso; his sister, Betty (Rick) Mosher of Wauwatosa; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Harry was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carol; his sister, Mickey Baeseman; two brothers, Edward (Dorothy) Jossi and Robert Jossi; a son-in-law, Larry Hamblen; and a grandson, James Hamblen.

A memorial service in remembrance of Harry will be held on Saturday, May 17, at 11 a.m. at Salem United Church of Christ, 8925 Highway W, town of Wayne, with Rev. Dan Schultz officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

A reception and luncheon will follow at the church.
