Gaynell M. LeClair

Gaynell M. LeClair, nee Champagne, entered into heaven’s eternal gates on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 surrounded by her loving daughters, at the dear age of 90.

Gaynell was born into the loving arms of the late Leonard and Clara (nee Dubey) Champagne in Hermansville, Mich. on Jan. 29, 1918.

Gaynell met and married the love of her life, Albert C. LeClair, on May 16, 1939 in Manitowoc, together raising three children.

She worked at Beerntsen in Manitowoc and Bowlby’s candy store in Appleton.

Gaynell is survived by her three loving children, Albert (Martha) LeClair of California, Pat Franke of West Bend and Connie LeClair of West Bend.

She is further survived by seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Rita Stumpf of Idaho.

She will also be missed by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and special friends.

Gaynell was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Albert LeClair; her parents; her sister, Gertrude Thielen; and her brother, Clifton Champagne.

A private family service will be held at a later date in Combined Locks, with cremation at Paradise Cremation Services, West Bend.
