Mary B. Nygaard
A memorial service will be held for Mary B. Nygaard of Thiensville at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, at First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg.
Mary passed away peacefully on Monday, May 26, 2008.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday, at the church, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Rev. Wilmer Reichmann will officiate the memorial service.
Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg is serving the family.
Mary was born on Jan. 24, 1962 in Bismark, N.D., the daughter of Elaine (nee Treder) Bergmann and the late Donald Bergmann. She graduated from UW-Milwaukee where she earned a bachelorís degree.
Mary independently owned and operated her own graphic design business, Art FX, for over 12 years. She created various designs for local businesses, churches and charities throughout the state and at national levels.
Mary recently created the promotional posters for Pioneers of Television for PBS national broadcast, which were used for national advertising purposes.
Besides being actively involved in her business, Mary was involved in various charities and fundraising events throughout Ozaukee County.
Mary is survived by her husband Paul Nygaard of Thiensville; son William Nygaard of Thiensville; mother Elaine Bergmann of Cedarburg; in-laws Ly-man and Shirley Nygaard of Thiensville; and siblings Peggy Zahn of Libertyville, Ill. and Blaine (Kathy) Bergmann of Grafton.
Mary is further survived by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her father Donald Bergmann; and her sister Donell Lauters.
