Joseph A. Linzmeyer
Joseph A. Linzmeyer, 80, of Big Cedar Lake, West Bend, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2008 at Cedar Community.
Joseph was born to the late John and Eunice (nee Ownby) Linzmeyer on Dec. 30, 1927 in Suring.
He honorably served in the United States Navy, stationed in Pearl Harbor.
Joe later graduated from Marquette University with a degree as an electrical engineer and worked for Wisconsin Electric Power Co. for almost 40 years, retiring April 1, 1989.
Joe met and married the love of his life, Mary Louise Wolf on Feb. 8, 1952, spending their life together in Brown Deer and Big Cedar Lake.
Joe enjoyed golfing, fishing, gardening and walking his dogs.
Joe is survived by his sisters and brothers, Jean (late Bernard) Christensen, Michael (Donnie) Linzmeyer, Joanne (late Donald) Miller, Gerald Linzmeyer and Thomas (Sandy) Linzmeyer.
Joe is further survived by a sister-in-law, Julie Linzmeyer; nieces; nephews; other relatives and special friends, Dan and Cindy Borcherding.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Janice Horst; and a brother, John Linzmeyer.
A funeral service for Joseph will take place on Tuesday, June 3, at 7 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 1420 West Paradise Drive, West Bend, with Father Joseph Dominic officiating.
Friends and family may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m.
