Audrey M. Melchert, 76
Audrey Mae Melchert, 76, of Cole Camp, Mo., formerly of Sedalia, Mo., died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008, at Good Samaritan Care Center, Cole Camp.
She was born on Feb. 19, 1932, at Black Wolf, Wis., a daughter of Arthur and Gladys (Untch) Troedel.
On Feb. 19, 1955, in Holy Angels Church in West Bend, she was united in marriage to James Melchert, who survives, of Cole Camp.
She was a member of the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Sedalia. For 25 years, she was a registered nurse and was nead nurse of pediatrics at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, retiring in 1994.
She enjoyed reading and caring for children.
Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Hea-ther Ives, and her husband Stephen of Cole Camp; one son, Jamie Melchert and his wife Brenda of Columbia, Mo.; five sisters, Leona Hagner, Carol Grissman and Sue Johnson and husband Steve, all of West Bend, Mary Zuern and Robert of Allenton, and Pat Schmidt of Plymouth; five grandchildren, Jenny Pehl, Marla Ives, Renee Ives, Haley Melchert and Nicholas Melchert; two great-grandchildren, Thomas and Ruthann Pehl.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Betty Werner; one brother, Arthur Troedel; and one granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Cole Camp, with Fr. Keith Branson officiating.
Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Sedalia.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Thursday at the church with visitation to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be given to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church or Good Samaritan Care Center in care of the Fox Funeral Home, P.O. Box 37, Cole Camp, MO 65325.
Pallbears will be Victor Monsees, Gordon Ives, Philip Wellington, Frank Tobaben, Kenny Koeller and Mike Simon.
