Ann E. Lubner

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Ann E. Lubner of Cedarburg at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 6, at St. Francis Borgia North Catholic Church, 1375 Covered Bridge Road in Cedarburg. Ann died at the age of 95 on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008 at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital in Mequon. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 5, at the Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg. Interment will take place on Thursday at the church cemetery following the Mass.

Ann was born on Saturday, Nov. 9, 1912 in Nabob, daughter of the late Peter and Anna (nŽe Schmidt) Holz. Ann was united in marriage to John Lubner at St. Mathias Church in Nabob. She became a widow in 1961.

Ann was involved with numerous card clubs, including Monday and Tuesday afternoon club and Senior Citizen Thursday Night Card Club. Her favorite pastimes included crocheting and tending to her flowers.

Ann is survived by her children, Arlene (the late Frank) Becker and Lyle (Linda) Lubner; grandchildren, Russell (Laura) Lubner, Lisa (Chuck) Wallisch, Dawn (James) Overbye, LeRoy (Bonnie) Becker, Debbie (Rex Smith) Hill and David (Irina) Becker; great-grandchildren, Heidi, Ian, Holly and Olivia Hill, Dylan Smith, Kelsey Wallisch, Brandon Becker, Jennifer, Jonathan and Jeffrey Overbye. Ann was the dear sister of the late Norman (Dephane) Holz and Veronica (the late Oscar) Ohrmund. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
