Kenneth W. Lucht

Funeral services were held for Kenneth W. Lucht of Grafton on Nov. 8 at St. John Lutheran Church in Lakefield. Kenneth died peacefully at the age of 83 on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008 at home, surrounded by his family, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Family received friends at the church on Saturday, prior to the funeral service. Interment will be at Lakefield Cemetery immediately following the service. Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg is serving the family.

Kenneth was born on Sept. 5, 1925, the son of the late George and Edna (nŽe Mueller) Lucht. On Aug. 14, 1948, he was united in marriage to Anita Sievers at St. John Lutheran Church in Lakefield. Kenneth was a faithful member of St. John Lutheran Church since 1948. He worked in the family business "George Lucht & Sons Masonry" as a mason. He enjoyed Packers games, the Brewers and baseball, and traveling up north to the family cottage where he enjoyed fishing.

Kenneth is survived by his beloved wife and best friend for over 60 years, Anita (nŽe Sievers); his dear brother, Gordon (Dorothy) Lucht of Grafton; and his brother-in-law, Erwin (Ethel) Sievers of Grafton. He was the loving uncle of Joyce (Dale) Peters of Grafton, Bonnie (Mark) Lecher of Grafton and Glenn Sievers of Grafton; the cherished great-uncle of Stacey Peters of Thiensville, Michelle (Andy) Christophersen of West Bend, Katie Peters of Grafton, Nathan Peters of Grafton, Jennifer (Josh) Kurtz of Plymouth and Megan Lecher of Milwaukee; and the great-great-uncle of Ethan and Paige Kurtz and Olive Christophersen. Kenneth is further survived by other relatives and friends.
