Ronald M. Holland, 71

Ronald M. Holland, 71, of West Bend, passed away Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008, at Cedar Community Hospice.

Ronald was born on Oct. 19, 1937, in Wauwatosa to William E. and Georgiana E. (Hellendrung) Holland.

He attended South Division High School in Milwaukee.

He worked in several industries including construction, factory work, Miller Brewery and later in the metal stamping business at Mill Tool in West Bend. He finished his working career at Holland Heating and Air Conditioning Inc. in 2006.

Ron was well liked and loved by many. He had an outstanding sense of humor.

He enjoyed racing, cheeseburgers and a good cup of coffee. He especially loved war movies and military documentaries.

He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict era from Oct. 17, 1954, to Aug. 30, 1957. He was a member of the American Legion Post 36 in West Bend.

Ronald is survived by his children, Rhonda (Bob) Lemay of West Bend, Steve (Kari) of Cedarburg, Michael (Rose) of Italy and Martin of West Bend. Further survived by his grandchildren, Jeremy Cook, Paris Lemay, Kayla, Jenna and Kyle Holland, Amber Holland, Joshua Ramthun, Natasha and Nathan Boettcher, Tommy and Cassie Boettcher, Logan Boettcher, Allison, Jessica and Nicholas Holland; brother, William (Jean) of Naples, Fla.; Robert and Karen Hellendrung of Milwaukee; sister, Sandra (Daryl) Nelson of Waukesha; special relationships, Mike Boettcher of Campbellsport and Tom Boettcher of New London; many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Dennis Hellendrung; and daughter, Brenda Holland.

A memorial service for Ron will be at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend.

Cremation at the Paradise Cremation Services.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 2:30 p.m. until time of service, 4:30 p.m.
