Helen E. Goldberg

Funeral services will be held for Helen E. Goldberg (nee Rilling) of Grafton at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, at Faith Lutheran Church in Cedarburg. Helen passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008, at the age of 92. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday, from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Grafton. Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg is serving the family.

Helen was born in Grafton on Oct. 30, 1916, the daughter of the late Charles and Adela (nee Heuer) Rilling. Helen was united in marriage to Richard J. Goldberg on June 25, 1938. She was a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church; member of North Hills Country Club and Port Washington Country Club, and was a former Sunday School teacher. Helen enjoyed golfing, traveling with her husband, and socializing with her many friends and family over the years.

Helen is survived by her children, Thomas Goldberg, Timothy (Pat) Goldberg and Kristin (the late Jim Hughes); grandchildren, Tricia Murtha, Rick (Liz) Goldberg, Kimberly Hughes, Nick (Jill) Hughes, Curt (Chris) Hughes and the late Todd Hughes; and her great-grandchildren, Alexandra, RJ, Ethan, Caitlyn, Cayden and Lauren. Helen was the special aunt of Chuck (Jeanette) Meunier; and the great-aunt of Mica (Tom) Meunier-Lawrence and Andy (fiancee Sandy) Meunier. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Richard.

The family would like to give special thanks to Lynn and Paul Fonder and the entire staff at Whispering Meadows. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Faith Lutheran Church are appreciated.
