Joy H. Oreskovic

Joy H. Oreskovic (nee Peiffer) of Saukville passed away on Monday, Nov. 17, 2008 at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital, at the age of 81. Funeral services for Joy will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 23, at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 1420 W. Paradise Drive, in West Bend. The Rev. Paul K. Mittermier will officiate at the service. Visitation will be held at the chapel on Sunday, from 1 p.m. until the services at 3 p.m. Cremation at Paradise Cremation Services.

Joy was born on Sept. 1, 1927, the daughter of Monroe and Olive (nee Gorman) Peiffer in Port Washington. Joy was raised in the Newburg area. After schooling, she began working at West Bend Woolen Mills and Amity Leather and later at Tecumseh Small Engine. On June 7, 1947, Joy married Frank Oreskovic at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Newburg and then started a family. Joy loved to shop and loved dining at many restaurants in the area.

Joy is survived by her husband, Frank; her children, Garry of Cascade and Pat (Tammy) of Saukville; her grandchildren, Justin of Nebo, N.C., Gabrielle and Wyatt of Saukville; sisters-in-law, Mary Beffel of Milwaukee, Ann (John) Hopps of Midland, Mich., Josephine Hatala of Milwaukee and Delores Orr of Greenfield; nephew, Emil Kalinich of Greenfield; and special friends, Joe (Marie "Cookie") Minz of Campbellsport, Dennis (Sandy) Egerer of Annapolis, Mo. and Jeanie Ciriacks of Saukville. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Joy was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers-in-law.
