Bud Tucek, 75
Bud (Duane) Tucek, 75, of West Bend, died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008, at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in Wauwatosa.
He was born March 15, 1933, in Milwaukee to the late Stephan and Eleanor (Hilber) Tucek, and married Lois A. Lecher on Jan. 22, 1952, in Milwaukee. Bud survived Lois for nine years to the day after she died on Sept. 28, 1999.
Bud was employed as a truck driver for Schneider Trucking out of Milwaukee for over 39 years, retiring in 1995.
He has lived in West Bend since 1963.
He enjoyed bowling and hunting and he liked to read.
Bud was a former member and past president of the West Bend Lions Club and a former member of the Local 200 Teamsters.
Survivors include his five children, Tom (Lora) of Cable, Terry (Bob) Peil of West Bend, Tim of Cable, Cindy (Mark Biertzer) Tucek of West Bend and Chris Verbanac of Slinger; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his brother, Darrell (Kathy) of Waukesha, a sister-in-law, Eleanor Tucek of Sussex; his dog, Koala; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Avah Fox; his brother, Joel Tucek; and his sister-in-law, June (Bill) Unger.
A celebration of Budís life will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday at Ridge Run County Park in West Bend. Please use the Scenic Drive entrance.
