Roman "Romy" A. Breit

Roman "Romy" A. Breit died peacefully at his home in Franklin and went home to the Lord on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, at age 63. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Romy at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow, Oct. 3, at St. Alphonsus Church, 5960 W. Loomis Road in Greendale.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. on Friday at the Heritage Funeral Home, 9200 S. 27th St. in Oak Creek (prior to the Mass). A private burial will take place at St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery in West Bend.

Romy started his work life as a barber then began a career in law enforcement. He retired as a police sergeant from UWM after 27 years of service. Romy’s final and most rewarding career, which brought him much happiness, was Romy’s Maintenance Service. He truly appreciated his customers as much as they appreciated him.

Romy was the beloved husband of Carole (nŽe Kind); the dear father of Cindy (Roger) Skibinski; the loving grandfather of Brian (Niki) and Kyle Skibinski; the son of Irene and the late Roman J. Breit of West Bend; brother of Jerry, Judy Sweet and Christine Breit; son-in-law of the late Ruben and the late Ella Kind; and brother-in-law of Ronald (Evea) and Richard (Sharon) Kind. He is further survived by many special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A special thanks to Dr. Qamar and Dr. Fenske, the caring staff of St. Luke’s, Froedtert, and the Horizon Home Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society are greatly appreciated. For guest book and directions, please visit or call (414) 761-2750.
