Elizabeth A. Heyde, 78

Elizabeth A. “Betty” Heyde, 78, of West Bend passed away on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008, at the Aurora Medical Center in Hartford .

She was born on Aug. 8, 1930, the daughter of the late Clifford and Maude (Guertler) Rose.

Betty was a school teacher for many years and was a member of Peace United Church of Christ in Kewaskum.

Survivors include a special friend, Lonnie Harris; a son, Clifford Heyde of Galveston , Texas ; a daughter-in-law, Dawn Murphy-Heyde of Augusta , Maine ; a brother, Robert Rose of Norfolk , Va. ; three grandchildren, Katherine “Kat,” Clifford Brian and Morgan Elizabeth Heyde; other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by a son, David.

A memorial service for Betty will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Peace United Church of Christ in Kewaskum with the Rev. Eric Kirkegaard officiating.

Cremation has taken place, and burial of the cremains will be at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery in Platteville.

The Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum has been entrusted with Betty’s arrangements.
