Arthur D. Kelling, 67

Arthur D. "Art" Kelling, 67, of the town of Scott, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Oct. 19, 2008, at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan.

He was born on Dec. 6, 1940, in Sheboygan, the son of the late Arthur and Marie (Lillge) Kelling.

Art was united marriage to Theresa Backhaus in 1963, and she preceded him in death on Dec. 9, 1973.

On May 25, 1974, he was united in marriage to Beverly Konen at St. Stephenís Lutheran Church in Batavia.

Art was employed by the West Bend Co. in West Bend, retiring in 2003 after 36 years of service. He was a member of the West Bend Co.ís 25 Year Club, and a member of St. Stephenís Lutheran Church in Batavia.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly; two children, David (Denise) Kelling of Plymouth and Valerie Kelling of Sheboygan; two grandchildren, Zachary and Hailey Kelling; two sisters, Elaine Larson of Wauwatosa and Marilyn Kelling of Milwaukee; a sister-in-law, Jan Kelling of Menomonee Falls; other relatives and friends.

In addition to his first wife and parents, Art was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl and Earl (Joyce) Kelling; and a brother-in-law, Lee Larson.

A memorial service for Art will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday at St. Stephenís Lutheran Church, Highway 28 in Batavia. Cremation has taken place.

The family will receive visitors at the church on Thursday from 5 p.m. until the time of services.

The Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum has been entrusted with Artís arrangements.
