James R. Dei, 53

James R. Dei, 53, of West Bend, passed away on Wednes-day, Oct. 29, 2008 at Lakeview Specialty Hospital.

Jim was born on Jan. 25, 1955 to Byron (Lucille Scheerer) Dei in West Bend. He attended Ke-waskum High School, graduating with the class of 1973. He graduated from UWM with an electrical engineering degree and began his career with Johnson Controls.

Jim married Katherine (nee Baumgartner) on Aug. 2, 1980. He loved music and hunting, yet focused on lifeís most precious blessings: his family and his faith.

Jim has been active in Washington County, Our Saviorís Lutheran Church and Johnson Controls for decades. At Our Saviorís, he has been congrega-tional president, evangelism, choir, on the Call Committee, communion assistant, boys basketball coach, Habitat for Humanity, congregational coordinator, Habitat board member, Long-Range Planning and menís ministry and a member of ASHRAE.

Jim is survived by his wife, Katherine, and children, Justin, Brandon and Ehren. He is further survived by his parents, Byron and Lucille; brothers, Tom (Deb) of Camp-bellsport, Bill (Lori) of Kewaskum and Bob (Laure) of Kewaskum, sisters Susan of West Bend, Linda Guelig of Kaukauna, Laura (Dan) Waehler of Gadsen, Tenn., and Sharon (Jeff) Werner of West Bend; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his grandparents.

A funeral service for Jim will be on Monday, Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. at Our Saviorís Lutheran Church with Rev. Pam Marolla officiating. Interment at Washington County Memorial Park on Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 11 a.m. Visitation will be at the church only on Monday, Nov. 3 from 4 p.m. until time of service. Memorials are appreciated.

The family would like to thank the faith community of Our Saviorís Lutheran Church and the staff at Lakeview Specialty Hospital for their thoughts, prayers and care for Jim.
