Lorraine A. Schemel, 77
Lorraine A. Schemel, 77, of Tomah, passed
away peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008, at home with her family by her
side. She was born on Jan. 7, 1931, to Harold and Juanita Bauer.
Lorraine was united in marriage to Ronald Weyer on May 20, 1950. She was
later united in marriage to Derald Schemel on May 29, 1970.
She was employed with Amity Corp. in West Bend, and later employed with
Continental Baking in Janesville. Growing up she was an avid horsewoman.
Lorraine was unbelievably talented in arts and crafts.
She had a feisty personality and was not afraid to express her opinion.
She had a great love for animals, especially her beloved companion, her
dog, Dottie. Lorraine loved baking and gardening.
She was a wonderful, loving mother who always put her children first. But
most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Dominique (Gary) Hruska of Warrens,
Ronald John Weyer of Hartford, Valery (Mike) Fay of Warrens, Rachel Jensen
of Warrens and Rebecca (Glen Bailey) Weyer of Tomah; grandchildren, Jeremy
Weyer and Alyson Jensen.
Family and friends were invited for a Celebration of Lorraine’s Life on
Sept. 14, 2008, at the County Line in Warrens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the North American Riding
for Handicapped Association or Tomah Hospice Touch.
The Torkelson Funeral Home of Tomah assisted the family with arrangements.
