Eleanore Jacque, 97
Mrs. Eleanore Jacque, formerly of South
Milwaukee Street in Fredonia, passed away Monday evening, Sept. 22, 2008,
at Ivy Manor in Jackson where she had been a resident for the past two
years. She was 97 years old.
Eleanore was born on April 3, 1911, in the town of Edson, daughter of
Wenzel and Susan (Gindt) Kastel.
She was united in marriage with Joseph Jacque at Holy Cross Catholic
Church in Holy Cross on Feb. 5, 1935. The couple resided in Thorp until
they moved to the Fredonia area in 1946.
Mrs. Jacque had worked for a while at Kenro Corp. and the canning company
in Fredonia, as well as at Power Products in Grafton.
Joseph preceded her in death in 1974.
Mrs. Jacque was a member of Holy Rosary Parish, St. Rose Chapel.
She had enjoyed gardening and playing cards including Sheepshead,
Solitaire, Crazy 8’s and War with the grandchildren.
Mrs. Jacque had also been a longtime member
of the Fredonia Senior Center.
She is survived by her three children, Dorothy (Lionel) Beaudoin of
Tularosa, N.M., Joseph (Kathryn) Jacque of Kewaskum and George (Rosemary)
Jacque of Cedarburg; nine grandchildren, Jim McGee of Utah, Bob McGee of
Saukville, Jeff (Arlene) McGee of West Bend, Debbie McGee of Tularosa,
N.M., Penny (Chris) Weaver of Cascade, Jody McGee of Illinois, Brian
(Kathleen) Jacque of Janesville, Julie (Bob) Upson of Fredonia and George
(Phon) Jacque of Cedarburg; 22 great-grandchildren; and nine greatg reat-g
randchildren. She is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews,
other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; daughter, Arlene Jacque;
brother, Andrew Kastel; and four sisters, Rose Piotrowski, Mathilda
Wildenberg, Frances Duss and Dorothy Regal.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday at Holy Rosary
Parish, St. Rose Chapel in Fredonia. Fr. Richard Fleischmann will
officiate.
She will be laid to rest in the parish cemetery next to her husband.
The family will receive visitors at the
church on Friday from noon until 3 p.m.
The Eernisse Funeral Home in Port Washington is assisting the family with
arrangements.
