Rita H. Schultz (Schneider) of Sheboygan passed away on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center at the dear age of 83.

Born into the loving arms of the late Christian and Regina (Wiedemeyer) Schnieder on Nov. 30, 1924, in West Bend.

Rita was raised in the rural West Bend area, living on her parents’ farm.

She met, and married the love of her life, Willard A. Schultz, on June 23, 1948, at Holy Angel’s Catholic Church in West Bend; together raising five children.

Rita loved spending her time with many activities including embroidering, sewing, playing cards and gardening; she also loved to listen to her polka music.

Rita is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Willard A. Schultz; her three adoring children, Kenneth (Suzanne) Schultz of West Allis, Thomas (Margie) Schultz of Cedar Grove and Christine (Dennis) Schulte of Tacoma, Wash. She will be missed greatly by 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by two sisters and one brother; nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Lawrence and Russell.

A funeral service for Rita was held on Thursday, Sept. 25, at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend, WI 53095) at 7 p.m. with Fr. Rick Wendell officiating.

Burial was at St. Huberts Cemetery at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 26, in Hubertus.

Family and friends visited from 5 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. Sept. 25.
