Rinald L. Weiss, 97

Rinald L. Weiss, 97, of West Bend, passed away on, Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008, at Synergy-Health St. Joseph’s Hospital town of Polk.

Rinald was born on Sept. 26, 1910, to the late Peter (Victoria Graff) Weiss in the town of Addison. He attended St. Lawrence school.

After graduation, he began farming.

He married Constance C. Held on Jan. 6, 1944, at St. Mary’s Holy Hill.

He also played the saxophone in the Weiss Harmonizer Band.

Rinald also worked at Kasten Manufacturing for 32 years and was a member of the Allenton Volunteer Fire Deptartment for many years.

After retirement, he enjoyed going dancing with friends and listening to big band music, along with traveling.

Rinald is survived by his wife, Constance (Held); sister, Norma Hetzel of West Bend; sisters-in-law, Delores Weiss, Marilyn Cleary, both of the town of Addison, and Louise Held of Hartford; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents; son, William; brothers Lawrence, Joseph and infant Peter; sisters Valeria and Mary Klein; sister-in-law, Verena; brothers-inlaw Frank Hetzel, Lee Klein, Robert Cleary, Ralph Held; and inlaws Herb (Elizabeth) Held.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church of St. Lawrence, with Fr. Joseph Dominic officiating.

Interment at St. Lawrence Cemetery following the Mass.

Visitation will be at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend on Sunday, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. with a prayer vigil at 7:30 p.m., Fr. Rick Wendell officiating.
