Kathrin “Katie” A. Edelbeck

Kathrin “Katie” A. Edelbeck, 63, of New Ulm, Minn. died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008 at her home in New Ulm.

Kathrin Anne Weier was born on Nov. 29, 1944 to R. Charles and Mildred (Altmann) Weier in Milwaukee . She was a graduate of Kewaskum High School . On Dec. 29, 1971 she was united in marriage to Norman L. Edelbeck of West Bend . Katie was the director of Religious Education for the 7th-11th grades at Cathedral of the Hold Trinity Church in New Ulm, she had a landscape business and she and Norman also owned and operated Der Mietwaschsalon Laundromat in New Ulm.

Katie enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, gardening and quilting.

She was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm.

Katie is survived by her husband, Norman L. Edelbeck of New Ulm; daughter and son-in-law, Erica and Jim Penkert of St. Peter; grandchildren, Grace, Bianca and Cora Penkert. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Mary Wenzlaff and Ramona Weier.
